This one is just too cool.. Developer Pete Nixey created this site as a proof-of-concept. Eventsites is a full-fledged application that uses no server logic and stores no data of it's own. We've all seen the Google map mashups, but this really takes things to the next level and shows the power of what can be created in today's Web 2.0 environment.

This is a 1 page AJAX application that merely acts as a "client to other webservices". Pretty neat stuff!

Sounds cool, Joe. Thanks. Was bummed to see it supports FireFox only. That seems to go against some hopes of such web 2.0 apps being more ecumenical/universal. :-)

Hey Charlie.. I didn't even realize the app was firefox only but I see now that I get an error immediately with IE. That definitely stinks, but I think this was more of a "proof of concept" kinda thing. But that raised the question - who is more to blame? The developer looking for some power or Microsoft who hasn't updated their browser technology in 5 years?!?!
