New AJAX/ColdFusion Site

I'm happy to announce the launch of a new website for the AJAX and ColdFusion communities.  The site is called "Building Blocks" and is located at http://www.ajaxcf.com.  It will deal with all things related to AJAX and ColdFusion.

I launched this site because I felt there was a void in the ColdFusion community.  There are various competing AJAX technologies, and many developers don't know where to get started.  The goal of this site is to educate people on the latest technologies and to provide examples showing how you can utilize the methods yourself.  I hope this will inspire you to think outside the box and to create better, more user-friendly applications and websites.  Enjoy and I hope that you'll learn something!!

-Joe

Raymond Camden's Gravatar Looks like comments are centered. Seems like a CSS potential mistake?

Michael's Gravatar Pretty slick site you put together here :)

It was cool meeting you at cfunited. Remember we were talking about the forum design and all that near the end of the conference.

I signed up with the boardfusion and did a lot of mockup work to get them started. Hoping to have a legit open source coldfusion forum coming soon. cfBB is the best so far - thanks for letting me know.

Peace - you bro in Costa Rica - Michael

Raymond Camden's Gravatar I don't know - I'm pretty satisfied with Galleon. ;) Of course, I'm biased.

Michael's Gravatar Biased? How? lol..

Actually I am not giving enough credit to that app. cfBB does a decent job of mimicing the function of your typical forum app (from a users standpoint) .. more on the lines of the community building model.

Galleon, especially from a technical standpoint is lightyears ahead of the undocumented mess that you get with cfBB.

For my needs - I want a full blown, very active and feature rich forum a la vB .. neither of them really fit the bill. So when approached with that situation, I simply sat down and did a mockup of what I would like a CF based forum to look like. Based primarily off vB, but tried to keep the source code xhtml compliant .. similar to PunBB
